Jib Crane Heavy Duty Basic Plate Mounted Jib

Several styles of Jib Cranes
are available for
specific application needs:

Basic Plate Mounted Jib
Mounted to a proper foundation, the Jib Crane can have a 360 degree rotation or less with Boom stops. For safety and strength, the top plate of the Mast has a piloted flange bearing with the pivot shaft extended through the bearing and top plate. We have seen competitor jibs with a tapered bearing and race welded to the top plate which under right conditions, such as shock loading, the complete boom section can dislodge and race to the ground. With our jib crane design, this cannot happen.

Foundation Mounted Jib Crane
This style of Jib Crane is similar to a Base Plate model jib except that the mast pipe is embedded in the foundation to allow more floor space around jib.

Wall Mount Cantilever
This model is mounted on a wall or column. It allows for a maximum lifting height with 200 degree rotation. Application requirements for a wall cantilever jib are that (1) there is a structurally sound wall or column to mount it on, and (2) there is sufficient clearance above the boom throughout its rotation arc.

Wall Mount Tie Rod Jib
The Wall Mounted Tie Rod Jib is an economical jib used where the boom can be at least 40 degrees below ceiling.

Rotating Mast Jib
This style Jib Crane can be installed without a foundation on ¼ through 2-ton models and with proper building support. Generally, it can have a 300 degree rotation span. This jib style must be fit to the building and the boom can be mounted at different heights of the mast as needed.

US Crane and Hoist builds many other styles of jibs to match the customer needs. Please call us with your specific needs.
