US Crane and Hoist, Inc. is a full service company. Our personnel have many years of combined experience in design, manufacturing and assembly of custom and standard bridge cranes, monorails, jib cranes, patented track systems and replacement components.

We offer installation and service, as well as on-site crane and hoist repairs. We provide preventative maintenance programs and operation maintenance training to our customers.

Our manufacturing and sales headquarters are located in Wilsonville, Oregon, just 20 minutes south of Portland.

We manufacture cranes up to 100 tons with spans up to 150 feet. We have a broad experience in a wide variety of industries, we have the expertise to design, produce, install and service the cranes you need.

Our standard engineered product, in conjunction with modern machine tools and inventory, can provide our customers with the “right” cranes and material handling equipment for the “right” price. We pride ourselves in building large equipment, but also serving customers that may require a ¼-ton jib crane.

We began in 1981 ...

US Crane and Hoist, Inc. originally started as a small service and manufacturing company in Oregon City, Oregon. The original partners were Bob and Susan Jones. Bob had worked in manufacturing and servicing cranes since 1962, and Susan Jones had a strong business and financing background, plus four years of crane experience. They started the business, US Crane and Hoist, in 1981.

As the business and customer base grew by the mid 1980’s, the company was incorporated and the owners purchased 2 ¼ acres in Wilsonville, Oregon, and built a new manufacturing building. The building was increased in size in 1989 to approximately 14,000 sq. ft. with two 10 ton cranes in the main bay. The building also has a hoist repair room, a machine shop, a electrical panel room, and two floors of office space.

In the early 1990’s, US Crane and Hoist, Inc. became an Electrical Contractor – General Contractor. In the mid 1990’s, we became an E.T.L. listed panel shop. The business purchased two freight liner trucks and installed hydraulic booms for hauling cranes and equipment to customer facilities for installation. In the late 1990’s, US Crane and Hoist, Inc., in cooperation with Pacific Power and Light and Portland General Electric, built 575,000 lbs of test weights to load test large and small cranes.
